Champions Path (teams eliminated from Champions League and Europa League qualifying, plus domestic champions from lower-ranked leagues) and Main Path (domestic cup winners and lower-ranked-league entrants, plus Europa League qualifying losers) run separate qualifying rounds into a play-off round · winners form the 36-team league phase modeled below — the same seeded single-table format as the other two competitions (4 pots of 9, 8 games each) · top 8 advance to the Round of 16, 9th-24th enter a knockout play-off, bottom 12 are out · single-elimination two-legged knockout from there to a one-off final.
